In June 2023, the Foundation executed a partnership agreement with Stafford County Schools to enhance the education of Stafford County students by sharing cumulative knowledge, skills, and resources to inspire the pursuit of aviation and other STEM careers. The Foundation has prioritized the development and demonstration of experiments and subject matter that encourage students to pursue STEM education and aviation-based careers.
ACES Day (Aviation Careers Expo in Stafford)
ACES Day is an annual STEM career event held at the Stafford Regional Airport and hosted by Stafford County Schools, Germanna Community College, the Stafford Regional Airport, and the Langley Flight Foundation.
Aviation STEM Curriculum Development
The Foundation is working with local school systems to develop engaging STEM curriculum lessons that tie to Virginia’s Standards of Learning.
STEM Education Presentations
The Foundation provides fun, aviation-based demonstrations and activities for kids to inspire interest in STEM education, including model rockets, paper airplane challenges, steam engines, and principles of aerodynamics.
